About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Telecommunication Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining and improving our VoIP and unified communications environment across multiple regions and offices.
You will work with modern SIP/VoIP technologies, WebRTC solutions and cloud-based telecom infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability and security of our communication systems. The role involves close collaboration with infrastructure, network and operations teams in a fast-paced global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy and maintain VoIP and unified communications systems based on Kamailio, Asterisk and related technologies.
- Manage SIP infrastructure, WebRTC solutions and secure voice communications environments.
- Configure and support Session Border Controllers (SBC) and SIP trunk integrations.
- Support and maintain telecom infrastructure hosted in AWS cloud environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise voice platform performance, reliability and scalability.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting related to SIP, RTP/WebRTC and telecom infrastructure.
- Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting systems for voice platforms and related services.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on telecom-related projects and integrations.
- Participate in capacity planning, failover testing and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and system runbooks.
- Provide support and participate in on-call rotations for critical telecom infrastructure.
Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Kamailio and/or Asterisk in production environments.
- Good understanding of SIP, RTP/SRTP, WebRTC, TLS and related voice technologies.
- Experience with VoIP infrastructure, SIP trunking and unified communications systems.
- Experience with WebRTC technologies, TURN/STUN services and secure real-time communications.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and networking concepts.
- Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu/CentOS environments).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Grafana or Graylog.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, routing and firewall management.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible is considered an advantage.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, CCaaS platforms or enterprise SBC solutions is considered an advantage.

Requirements:
- Higher education in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics or related technical field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in VoIP, SIP or unified communications engineering.
- Experience operating production telecom or VoIP environments.
- Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure environments.
